The extreme amount of rain the cemetery recently received created a hardship in maintaining the cemetery appearance. We ask for everyone's patience as we work through these challenges. We all enjoy a freshly mowed cemetery. Unfortunately, the heavy equipment creates deep ruts. During heavy rain events, mowing will be suspended until the grounds dry out to an acceptable level.

Depending upon the marker selected by the family, some flat marker have vases while others do not. The benefit of a flat marker over an upright marker is the ability to make mowing easier. This is the reason flat marker gardens are less expensive. When the family leaves a vase empty in the upright position, this negates the benefit. Groundskeepers often turn empty vases over into their storage position. Groundkeepers have no obligation to return the vases into their upright position for flower use.
Again, depending upon the marker selected, some vases require a phillips head screwdriver. Most vases must be rotated before it will lock into position. Remember! The vase may need to be rotated before it can be removed safely from its storage position. Due to natural weather conditions, the flat marker vase could become unusable due to ground settling. If you are unable to correct the issue yourself, please contact cemetery management for the current fee to re-set a marker. |
